A Quiet Place

Well most of you know all the company has left. The home place is too quiet so I ventured out yesterday to the park to have a quiet picnic in the great out doors with the SON. I finally get to sit in the sun and soak up rays, too. I'm off all medication for this week before I start the whole regiment over again. (OH yip) I asked the Lord was there anything he had to say...I looked up into the sky to see one, no two, no three tiny specks way up high seemingly playing tag. Yeah guessed it there was three birds playing in the high winds (do you not know Texas wind blows and blows and blows) so high you could hardly make out they were birds. Then I was reminded of "you shall lift up your wings like eagles and soar above the rough weather" Debbie's paraphrase and I was encouraged to let go of the why of what am I supposed to be learning questions that keep me in a quandry. Go flying it is great fun.

Monkey Business

Doug says "I didn't know what to do with the monkey until I put my fingers in his eyes and found it made the perfect finger hold."
I had a great time hanging with the gang Monday, went to take pictures of their great climbing adventures in Southlake.

Dinosaur Valley State Park

I found out I do have Lyme's. Been taking the new medicine for a week an a half. Had a Herxheimer reaction over the weekend. Not fun! Tuesday was the best day... felt great so Ginny, Isaiah and I went to the Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glenrose, Texas. We had a great adventure finding all the dinosaur footprints around the park. They have three sites to view. Here is some of what we saw:

More Pics of Dinosaur foot prints

Logan and Jared these extra pictures are for you. Can hardly wait to take you to see them when you guys come to visit. Hurry up Vicki the kids are counting on you. These are under water near the Blue Hole.

Uno Night at the Sutton's: what a surprize

Well what else do you do on a Monday night, with no school for the week, the TV is on the fast list, mom feeling slightly under the weather, boss sends one of the kids home early, and no study group...UNO of course! And so the night began...the Suttons' game playing can become war, no wait there is no competiveness in this families genes. Ok maybe just a little. The UNO play went as you would of expected until we found some of the optional rules! Watch out world the laughter began and wouldn't stop until the stomach muscles could take NO more of this type of workout...when all of a sudden we get a phone call from Jenyfer. Yes, we are grandparents once again in Nov.! Go Baby Go! And thus ends a quiet evening at home with the crew.

Ya Think This Boy Loves His Guitar

Bike riding on the Trinity

Yesterday was so great...sunshine, 86 degrees, spent time with Jimmy getting hover stuff, and than Isaiah finished some school and we were off for an afternoon cruise on bikes. Started at the park, headed down the road to the church where we picked up the Trinity trail. Road hard until University Dr. where we did a u-turn because Isaiah had worship practice before youth, and he definitely needed a shower before he took off with Jimmy. Jim got home at 5:15 and we headed out for our marriage class we are taking. We are all being groomed to teach these classes in late April. Jim and I are trying to hear if we are to do this or start a life group, after we move into our new home. Will keep ya posted. Can hardly wait to see what the Lord has in store for us today! Seems things are heating up...we as a church are heading into a 40 day fast. Looks like Natalie and Jim are fasting TV as one of the things they will be giving up so they might hear more from the Lord on the direction of Lake Country Church. Fasting seems to make people squirm, and the enemy steps up opposition, ya think maybe there is something to this fasting and praying thing!! I am looking forward to the challenge, excitement, words from the Lord, and the power that is released when there is corporate prayer.

I Am Promise

We had dinner with Jeff and Jenny Drott from church last Friday. It has been on the schedule for months seemed as though the enemy didn't want us to get together. We had a wonderful time just sharing heartbeats about church. You folks would love their heart towards the body. They don't want to do anything the Lord is not directing! For instance, Jenny had taken the reins for the children's ministry when they got there and had plans for three months of curriculum all on the calendar. As she was praying the Lord told her stop I want to do a new thing. That new thing was to give her fresh revelation each week, it reminds me of manna from heaven. What NO curriculum, I can live with that, but she had some folks questioning. She went on to teach Psalms 91. The kids took it in hook line and sinker. Listen one of the students fell out of a two story window and came out with a few bruises. When asked by her parents if she was scared she said NO, Jenny taught us that the Lord will protect us and I knew that God would put something in my way to break my fall. He did it was a car! The kids are learning to HEAR from God directly too. I am so excited, when this generation starts operating in all the gifts we are going to see a mightily work of HIS splendor! Can you tell I haven't lost my love in seeing the youth move on ahead! I will be helping out this Sunday and would like prayer, so any warriors out there please pray that I would have wisdom. Would you believe it is with the 2nd thru 5th graders too! Now isn't that interesting, it seems I have had a little experience with that age group.
Sorry I got side tracked KID stuff you know! While Jim was sharing, Jenny looked at me, than said she saw two book ends coming together. Don't know what all that means but I left with tears in my eyes. Since Friday the world just looks different, I feel almost normal again! Praise God! Saturday Jim and I went to see a basketball game. My second since coaching last year. I sure love the game! Have just about decided to put my resume in for coaching at our school that is associated with Lake Country, will keep ya posted. Now, do I finish my degree or not that is the question!
I am a Promise, that is what I would like to share with you today. You are one and here is a few of the words to that song of old and new, veggietales sings it.
I am a promise
I am a possibility
I am a promise
With a capital P
I am a great big bundle of potentiality
I am learning to hear God's voice
I am trying to make the right choice
I am a promise to be anything God wants me to be....
What a powerful set of words, I woke up with this song running in my head and it went to my heart! I sang it for everyone I saw that day. Even called Vicki to sing it to her (they did a play when she was little with this song in it) If you have never hear this song it is a must. Although Jimmy informed me today that I should be listening to grownup music, his suggestion P.O.D.
Can hardly wait to see some of you, I will be in GA the middle of March!
